Go for it! Both these are good. I tend to prefer Bluehost to hostgator but they are still good.

I tend to purchase my domain names from GoDaddy and hosting, I prefer Bluehost although I do have a couple of accounts with Hostgator.Hope that helps!

I thought I was hosting my own domain but my blog can only be viewed when you type in/wordpress. Whats Up with That?????? HELP ME.
You’re not on your own domain. Your blog is still on the general WP servers. Go thru each step again according to Trish’s setup. Re-do everything. Use a template (there are many good free Wp themes out there) so you can see the difference. Buy a tech saavy friend dinner. NOt nessaryily an engineer– just saavy. MIchelle Macphearson, Ed Dale.– running now. For gods sake, get your hosting provider  via chat– that’s what they’re there for. Good luck
